WHAT IS VITCAS WHITE PIPE JOINTING COMPOUND?
White Pipe Jointing Compound is non-hardening linseed oil based material for sealing pipe threads in plumbing.
WHERE TO USE VITCAS WHITE PIPE JOINTING COMPOUND?
White Pipe Jointing Compound is designed for use with hot or cold water, natural gas, LPGas and low pressure steam. It is not recommended for portable drinking water. The jointing compound will not cause corrosion of aluminium, brass, copper, low carbon steel or zinc surfaces.
HOW TO USE VITCAS WHITE PIPE JOINTING COMPOUND?
Ensure that threads are clean and free from burrs, grease, dirt or any other contamination. Apply the compound evenly over the male thread. The compound also acts as a lubricant which helps pipe threads to be screwed tight.
STORAGE
The product is designed to produce a thin protective skin and provided that this skin is not broken; the storage life of the material will be at least two years provided it is stored in its original unopened container at a temperature between 5°C and 20°C
