CFA - Ceramic Fibre Adhesive is a high-temperature, air-setting cement that is specifically designed for use as an adhesive for sticking ceramic fibre materials to brickwork, pizza ovens, or metal. This silica-based adhesive is ideal for use in a wide range of applications where high temperatures are involved, and a strong, durable bond is required.
Vitcas CFA Ceramic Fibre Adhesive is a high temperature adhesive that is specially designed for use in a wide range of applications, including refractory coatings and the bonding of ceramic fibre modules and laminates to brickwork or metal.
Characteristics:
High-temperature adhesive for use in temperatures up to 1400°C
Suitable for fixing ceramic fibre blanket and modules to brickwork or metal
Ideal for use in pizza ovens, as well as for fixing ceramic fibre boards, paper, and mica boards to metal
Can be used as a refractory coating
Easy to apply
Instructions:
Prepare the surface: Ensure that the surface to which the ceramic fibre material will be applied is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, dust, rust, or grease.
Apply the adhesive: Apply the Vitcas CFA Ceramic Fibre Adhesive directly onto the substrate, NOT onto the ceramic fibre. Use a trowel or a brush to apply a thin layer of adhesive evenly across the surface.
Apply the ceramic fibre: Place the ceramic fibre blanket, module, board, paper, or mica board onto the adhesive, making sure it is properly aligned and positioned. Press it firmly into place to ensure good adhesion.
Allow to dry: Allow the adhesive to dry completely, which can take up to 24 hours depending on the temperature and humidity levels.
Cure the adhesive: Once the adhesive is dry, cure it by gradually heating the bonded materials to the required temperature. This process should be carried out slowly and carefully to prevent any cracking or damage to the ceramic fibre.
