Fire Protection
Fire protection systems can either be active or passive. We offer a range of products which can be utilised in both types of fire protection systems.
Active vs passive fire protection systems
Active systems for fire protection are suitable for longer periods of fire exposure and are used for controlling or extinguishing a fire and preventing it from spreading further. On the other hand, passive fire protection systems are more suited for shorter exposure to fire under 2 hours. The passive systems are used where active systems are incompetent and are used to prevent the fire spreading to adjacent equipment.
However, it is recommended to use both active and passive fire protection in conjunction with one another.
