The edges of the board and the flue pipe can be sealed to the board using Vitcas Heat Resistant Silicone.The board can be fixed to a wall by drilling and screwing or by using Vitcas Heat Resistant Board Adhesive or HB60.For finish decoration we recommend spraying with Heat Resistant Paint Spray or you can seal the board with PVA and tile with Vitcas Heat Resistant Tile Adhesive.
my open flame gas fire has a thin boarding resting on the back of the nest but has split -would this be a replacement for it manufacturers description ceramic plate but company long since out of business 'Excel Fire' it is very thin in appearance and looks like asbestos but of course it is not can't get anyone to help
