Applications of Vitcas Flue Insulation Jacket

  • Wood-burning stoves: Boosts efficiency by retaining heat, reducing fuel use and preventing condensation and creosote build-up for safer operation.
  • Fireplaces: Reduces tar and condensation, preventing chimney damage and fire risks, while improving airflow for cleaner combustion.
  • Multi-fuel heating systems: Protects flue liners from high temperatures and thermal stress, extends lifespan and improves combustion efficiency.
  • Solid Fuel Boilers: Enhances heat retention and prevents condensation and corrosion.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Preparation: Clean the flue liner thoroughly, removing any debris, soot, or damage. Verify the dimensions of your flue liner 125mm (5") or 200mm (8") to ensure compatibility with the wrap.
  2. Measuring: Measure the length of your flue liner. If the 1-metre-long insulation wrap is insufficient to cover the entire length of the flue, you can use multiple wraps to achieve full coverage.
  3. Wrapping the Insulation: Wrap the insulation tightly around the flue liner, ensuring no gaps. For maximum efficiency, overlap the edges slightly during wrapping.
  4. Securing the Wrap: Use high-quality metal cable ties to secure the insulation wrap in place.

Product Q&A
Can you supply these for pipes in diameter ranging from 150 to 800 mm. And I am looking for this in application of insulating boiler flue gas ducting. Is this a correct product
Our flue insulation wrap is available only in diameters ranging from125mm (5") to 200mm (8") and it can be used for the specified application.
Can it be attached to a 4'' flue?
Generally, our insulation wrap is for 5" or 6" flues, but can be used for a 4" flue, it just needs to be wrapped around more.
