Instructions:
Surface Preparation:
Before applying Vitcas Mouldable Firebrick, ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease, or debris to ensure proper adhesion and maximise product performance.
Application Process:
Invert the tub and empty the contents onto a clean surface.
Take lumps of Vitcas Mouldable Firebrick and tamp them into position using a mallet or hammer, applying firm pressure for maximum consolidation.
Repeat the process until the desired shape of the firebrick is achieved and further consolidation cannot be obtained.
For additional support during application, use a temporary support former, such as a piece of wood or hardboard, to contain the mouldable firebrick.
Trimming Excess Material:
If any excess material protrudes, trim it with a knife. Avoid smoothing the surface or using a wet trowel, as this can affect the product's performance.
Drying Process:
Allow Vitcas Mouldable Firebrick to dry overnight.
After drying, apply gentle heat for 8 to 10 hours to fully dry the material, which helps prevent cracking and ensures optimal performance.
Once the initial drying is complete, gradually increase the appliance's temperature to the maximum recommended level. After reaching this, the appliance is ready for normal use.
