VITCAS Heat Accumulation Fireboards have a high thermal mass for heat accumulation and storage. The boards are heated by radiation from the stove and then release the heat into the room by convection. Fireboards can be used around fireplaces and stoves as well as inside them. Fireplace refractory panels can avoid the room from overheating, returning the heat gradually over time.
