SKU
ZIRCON-RAPID
Vitcas Zircon Rapid Setting Cement is resistant to high temperatures reaching 1750°C / 3180°F. It is a high quality refractory, zircon-based material which is of a semi-liquid, putty like texture and consistency. This makes it safe and easy to apply when repairing investment shells or element bedding.
Vitcas Zircon Rapid is an extremely quick setting, zircon-based refractory material that comes in a 2-part system, consisting of a 5kg powder and a liquid solution. When mixed together, it creates a putty-like consistency that is ideal for repairing investment shells in the investment casting industry or for element bedding into a ceramic block.
Characteristics:
- Rapid setting time of 5 minutes: This means that the material sets quickly, allowing for faster repairs and less downtime for equipment.
- Hardening time of 15 minutes: After setting, the material will harden in just 15 minutes, making it ready for use in a short amount of time.
- Two-part system: Vitcas Zircon Rapid consists of two components - a 5kg bucket of powder and a liquid solution.
- Heat resistant to 1750°C /3180°F: Vitcas Zircon Rapid can withstand high temperatures, making it suitable for use in high-temperature applications.
- Safe to use: The material is safe to handle and use, but as with any refractory material, it is recommended to wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection.
- High strength of the product being formed: Once hardened, the material forms a strong and durable bond that can withstand high temperatures and other harsh conditions.
Applications:
- Repairing investment shells in the investment casting industry: Vitcas Zircon Rapid is ideal for repairing investment shells used in the investment casting process. It can be used to repair cracks, holes, or other damage to the shells, allowing them to be reused.
- Electrical Element bedding (into a ceramic block): The material can also be used to bed heating elements into a ceramic block, providing a strong and durable bond that can withstand high temperatures. This is particularly useful in industrial settings where high-temperature applications are common.
