Central Heating Inhibitor – Corrosion & Limescale Protection
Vitcas Central Heating Inhibitor – Advanced corrosion, limescale, and sludge protection for sealed and open-vented heating systems. Enhances heat transfer and extends the life of boilers, radiators, and aluminium or mixed-metal pipework.
Central Heating Inhibitor - Sludge, Scale & Corrosion Protection
Vitcas® Central Heating System Inhibitor is a high-performance, multi-purpose treatment formulated to provide long-term protection for domestic and commercial central heating systems. It works by preventing the build-up of limescale, sludge, and corrosion, which are among the most common causes of reduced heating efficiency, cold spots in radiators, boiler noise, and premature component failure. By maintaining clean internal surfaces, the inhibitor helps to improve system circulation, lower energy consumption, and extend the service life of key components.
It is fully compatible with all common system materials, including iron, steel, brass, copper, aluminium, and both plastic and glass-fibre header tanks. Ideal for use in micro-bore systems constructed with plastic piping, Vitcas Central Heating System Inhibitor is suitable for both sealed and open-vented, fully indirect systems.
Key Features

Dosage: 1 litre of liquid or 1 tube of concentrate treats up to 100 litres of system water (approx. 10 standard radiators).
Application Instructions - Liquid Form
Unless completing an annual top-up, pre-treat the system with Vitcas Central Heating System Cleaner & Sludge Remover
-
Locate the feed and expansion tank
-
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use
-
Pour the entire contents into the tank
-
The inhibitor is drawn into the system and begins working within 1 to 6 weeks
-
Bleed radiators to remove any trapped air
Application Instructions - Concentrated Cartridge
-
Close both radiator valves and remove the bleed screw using a radiator vent key
-
Insert the supplied adaptor into the bleed port and turn clockwise to secure. Trim the adaptor if necessary
-
Cut off the domed end of the cartridge and attach it to the adaptor using a standard cartridge gun
-
Open one radiator valve and inject the full contents into the radiator
-
Close the valve, remove the adaptor, and replace the bleed screw
-
Open both valves and bleed the radiator to expel trapped air
Vitcas Central Heating System Inhibitor remains in the system and provides ongoing protection against internal corrosion, sludge build-up, and limescale formation. For maximum system efficiency, use in conjunction with other Vitcas central heating water treatment products.
