Central Heating Inhibitor – Corrosion & Limescale Protection
£7.19 £5.99 Regular Price £19.19 £15.99
Vitcas Boiler Noise Silencer is a non-acidic central heating descaler that reduces annoying boiler noise caused by limescale and baked-on sludge deposits on the heat exchanger. It stays in the system for life and does not require flushing, offering long-term noise reduction and improved boiler performance. This silencer is compatible with plastic header tanks, micro-bore pipework, and all common metals used in central heating systems, including aluminium. Suitable for fully indirect systems only.
Boilers that produce knocking or kettling noises are often affected by hard water scaling or sludge build-up on internal surfaces. These deposits reduce heat transfer, increase fuel usage, and shorten the boiler's lifespan. Vitcas Boiler Noise Silencer eliminates these problems by removing deposits and preventing their return.
Reduces boiler noise, including knocking and kettling
Removes limescale and baked-on sludge from heat exchanger surfaces
Improves heat transfer and overall energy efficiency
Remains in the system permanently - no need to flush
Safe for use with plastic tanks, micro-bore pipes, and aluminium components
Ideal for use in sealed, fully indirect central heating systems
Not suitable for PRIMATIC single-feed cylinders
For best results, use in combination with Vitcas Central Heating System Cleaner & Sludge Remover before application, and follow up with Vitcas Central Heating Inhibitor to protect against corrosion and scale formation.
Dosage: 1 litre of liquid or 1 cartridge of concentrate treats up to 100 litres of system water (approx. 10 standard radiators).
Shake the bottle thoroughly
Locate the feed and expansion cistern
Pour the entire contents into the cistern
The product will be gradually drawn into the system
Provides full effect within 1 to 6 weeks
Bleed all radiators after 2-3 days, then again after 2-3 weeks
Alternatively, the liquid can be added via a partially drained radiator. Bleed radiators after dosing to remove trapped air.
Close both radiator valves and remove the bleed screw using a radiator vent key
Insert the supplied adaptor and turn clockwise to secure a tight fit. Trim the adaptor if required
Cut off the domed end of the cartridge and attach it to the adaptor using a standard cartridge gun
Open one valve and inject the full contents into the radiator
Close the valve, remove the adaptor, and replace the bleed screw
Open both valves and bleed the radiator to remove air
Vitcas Boiler Noise Silencer stays in the system and continues to prevent further scale and sludge build-up. Always use in conjunction with Vitcas Central Heating System Inhibitor for optimal long-term protection.
