Rapid Setting Cement - Fast-Setting Repair Mortar for Internal & External Use

RAPIDCAS Rapid Setting Cement is a fast-setting compound designed for rapid repair and installation applications. When mixed with water, it forms a smooth, workable paste that sets in approximately 30 minutes, making it ideal for time-critical jobs. The cement is easy to mix and apply, offering a durable solution for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Formulated for non-structural repair and fixing tasks, Rapidcas rapid-set cement is widely used across the building, landscaping, plumbing, and general maintenance sectors. It is particularly suited for quick-setting repairs where minimal downtime is essential.

Typical Applications

• Repairing floor screeds and external render

• Fixing paving flags, concrete slabs, bricks, and natural stone

• Patching steps, window sills, and concrete thresholds

• Pointing brickwork and stonework

• Bedding manhole covers and jointing earthenware pipes and drains

• Sealing cracks and leaks in concrete surfaces

• Setting railings and fixing fence posts

• Repairing ponds and pools (must be sealed with a waterproof sealer before restocking with fish)

• Quick repairs in WCs, basins, and utility sinks

• Suitable for both domestic and light industrial maintenance tasks

Product Limitations

• Not suitable for load-bearing applications

• Only suitable for foot traffic and light vehicular access

• Not designed for use in acidic environments - use Acidproof Cements for acid resistance

• In fish ponds, always seal with a waterproof coating before reintroducing aquatic life

Application Instructions

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, solid, and free from dust, oil, or contaminants

• Pre-wet the surface to aid bonding and reduce suction

• Mix 3 parts Rapidcas powder to 1 part clean, cold water until a smooth, thick paste is achieved

• Only mix what can be used within 5 minutes

• Apply using a trowel or filling knife

• Do not add more water once the cement starts to stiffen-this will weaken the set

• In warm conditions, cover the repair with polythene to promote slow, even curing

• Clean tools immediately with warm water before the cement sets

Storage and Shelf Life: Store in cool, dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C. Keep packaging tightly sealed when not in use. Shelf life: 12 months unopened; reduced once opened.
