RAPIDCAS Cement is a specially formulated, fast-setting compound that hardens in approximately 30 minutes when mixed with water. It is easy to prepare and apply, making it suitable for a wide range of internal and external repair applications.
Uses:
Repairing rendering and floor screeds
Fixing flags, slabs, stones, and bricks
Patching steps and window sills
Pointing brick and stone
Setting manholes and jointing earthenware pipes and drains
Repairs for ponds and pools (seal with waterproof sealer before restocking fish)
Quick-setting repairs in W/C's and sinks
Sealing leaks in concrete surfaces
Setting railings and fixing fence posts
Suitable for both small and large industrial jobs
Limitations:
Not suitable for load-bearing applications; only allows foot and light vehicular traffic.
Not for acid-resistant environments; use ACIDCAS for those.
After use in fishponds, seal the surface with a waterproof sealer before reintroducing fish.
Application:
Ensure surfaces are clean, solid, and free from dust or contaminants.
Wet the surface to improve adhesion.
Mix 3 parts RAPIDCAS powder with 1 part cold clean water to create a smooth, thick paste. Only mix what can be used in 5 minutes.
Apply the mixture with a trowel or filling knife, and discard any cement that begins to stiffen. Do not add water to rehydrate the mix, as this weakens the bond.
In warm conditions, cover the application with polythene to aid curing.
Clean tools with warm water before RAPIDCAS dries.
Storage and Shelf Life: Store in cool, dry conditions between +5°C and 25°C. Unopened, RAPIDCAS has a shelf life of 12 months, but this decreases once opened.
