Vitcas Insulation Refractory Castable is a low density material for lining furnaces and for use as an insulation backing material for dense castables. It is resistant to temperatures reaching 1300°C.
Insulation Refractory Castable is unlike dense castables such as 1700STD, as it is very lightweight, low density and has low thermal conductivity. Its maximum service temperature is 1300°C. Its applications include lining foundry furnaces and being used as insulation backing material for dense castables e.g. for 1700STD. It may also be used to make Insulation Plinths or Insulation Boards.
